Do. Not. Worry. This is a big one. I am constantly stressed or worried about something in my life! Not worrying is so much easier said than done. Sure, there are things that are somewhat easy not to worry about: your appearance, how the rest of your day will play out, etc. But sometimes we catch ourselves so concerned about how the rest of our life is going to be or about silly, materialistic issues.
Matthew 6:25 says: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” Then, Matthew 6:33-34 says: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
This is huge and such a wake-up call, especially in this day and age. This post kind of goes along with my problem of not giving up my trust to God. Faith is a huge factor here! It says that you need to seek God’s kingdom and seek God out and then all of your worries will be taken care of. Tomorrow can worry about itself. Life is more than what tomorrow brings! If we spend our entire lives waiting for tomorrow, someday we’ll realize that today is all we need. Make the most of every day and spend more time with God and less time worrying!
